The type or namespace name ‘Interop’ does not exist in the namespace ‘Microsoft.Office’ (are you missing an assembly reference?)

This error generally occured when you add assembly ““Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library” then some times assembly is not getting listed in web.config file

To remove this error we need to add
<add assembly=”Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c”/> in web.config file.

It will look like as follows in web.config : ==>

<compilation debug=”true”>
<assemblies>
<add assembly=”Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word,
Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c”/>
</assemblies>
</compilation>
